I am presently affiliated to the Department of Physical Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Research and Education, Kolkata, India, where I work as a Research Assistant and study Quantum Cryptography with Prof. Prasanta K. Panigrahi.
Prior to that, I completed my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata. India. Before that I completed my schooling from Jermel’s Academy and Army School Sukna. I am also a member of the ACM.
During my undergraduate study I had the opportunity to intern at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
I also recently had the good opportunity to visit Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
Also, in my last year at school, I participated in Google Summer of Code with OWASP. In my past life I used to be an hacker, and ‘i used to roll’ with aliases ice9 and ryan, and was active in SPOJ and Project Euler for sometime, till I got into research.
I worked on Machine Learning for sometime, before I switched to Theory. Now, I spend most of my time in the admiring the broad spectrum of Theoretical Computer Science. I was initiated in Cryptography by Professor SuperAwesome (aka Sudarshan Iyengar), (who quite literally gave me his books that I now treasure) and I have been dabbling in the same for sometime now.
